Events in the city centre

Various festivities will take place in the city centre of Groningen during the upcoming summer period. These include events such as the Groningse 4daagse (August 3–7), the Keiweek (August 10–14), and the Summer Fair (August 28–September 6) at the Grote Markt.

While these events create a lively and enjoyable atmosphere in the city, they may also result in increased crowds and noise at certain times.

With public transport

The Market Hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Groningen Central Station.

By car (parking)

Hotel guests can use the parking garage under the Forum, which is located next to the hotel. The parking costs are €24 per night, the address of the parking garage is Schoolstraat 16, 9712 JS Groningen. A reservation in advance is not necessary.

By bike

You can park your bicycle for free in the underground bicycle cellars between the hotel and the Forum. Or at the Jumbo. There is a bicycle parking ban in the city, which means that when parked in the city you run the risk that the parked bicycle will be removed.
